Historic Route 66 Merchants Association, Amarillo66.com, is a non profit organization comprised of 100 plus merchants and fans of Historic Route 66. Any one can join, contact us for membership details.

What we share is a common goal for keeping historic Route66 alive and kicking! Our focus is on Amarillo, but we work with all parts of Route66, Downtown Amarillo and historic preservation groups to accomplish our goals.

Our Goals are simple:

  • Drive Traffic to Historic Route66.
  • Pool efforts and resources.
  • Create a state and local political presence.
  • Know our neihbors and their concerns.

We do this by:

  • Providing signage and information to arrive on Historic Route66.
  • Communicating our presence, events and offerings to the world.
  • Improving the visitor experience.
  • Facilitating and hosting events and activities.
  • Preserve and Promote the infrastructure.

What we need:

  • Members who share our common goals.
  • Project Volunteers.
  • Signage locations and property. Along, to, and from Historic Route66.
  • Artists, musicians and all around neat people to visit and work on Route66. Anyone in search of kicks.
  • Events in search of a location.
  • Donations.
